The Announcement on the Upgrading of the Ulord Original Chain and the New Ecosystem Building

Great thanks to all the masternodes for your support to The Proposal of the Upgrading of the Ulord Original Chain and New Ecosystem Building. On September 14, 2019, the voting ended. There were 283 active masternodes. 62 masternodes participated the voting and the participation percent was 20%. There were 61 supporting votes, 1 negative vote and 1 abstention vote. The proposal passed the vote successfully.

The upgrading of the Ulord original chain and new ecosystem building will be launched.

I. The Ulord original chain will be upgraded and it will have the following changes:

1. At the height of block 280112, the 284.462 million remaining uncirculating UT, allocated toPoW before, will be paid to the distributed storage ecosystem.

2. This part of UT will be converted to UOS through the Bancor protocol and placed in the reward pool as the incentive for consensus nodes and ecosystem nodes in the ecosystem.

This upgrade involves exchanges, mining pools, honorary and application masternodes, and full-node wallets.

II. Meanwhile, there will be these technical upgradings:

1. Add new rpc interface to judge whether the address is valid.

2. Modify MIN_BLOCKS_TO_KEEP parameter to reduce the number of blocks that restart the rollback check.

III. The upgrading of Ulord v1.1.7:

1. Download v1.1.7 from the link below and replace the original ulord and ulord-cli programs.

2. Use the ulord-cli stop to stop the original process before updating. After the stop is over, restart ulord.

3. To confirm the upgrade is successful, enter the command line: [utcoin@qihost bin]$ ./ulord-cli getinfo

Display: { “version”: 1010700, version number 1.1.7 indicates that the upgrade was successful.

The upgrading time is from September 19th, 9:00 to September 20, 15:00. The self-installed honorary and application nodes as well as the full-node wallet will be upgraded before 24:00 on September 19. We are sorry for your inconvenience.

After the upgrading, a new Ulord is coming!
