Technical progress
Development progress
The Ulord public blockchain development mainly focuses on the sidechain UOS function optimization, the sidechain USC upgrade and transformation, the transfer function of the Ulord cross-chain and the requirements of the UPaaS platform. The development of Ulord V2.1.0 was completed, the UOS currency was added, and some functions of Ulord V2.0.3 were optimized.
The Public Blockchain Development
1. The parameters of the sidechain UOS was modified to reduce the transaction failures and traffic congestion.
2. The UOS testnet upgrade was completed to optimize the block data synchronization process, and improve the efficiency of block synchronization;
3. All the UOS node information collection procedures were deployed;
4. The USC sidechain consensus upgrade and transformation plan was launched;
5. The alliance test of cross-chain transfer in Android version was finished and meets the online requirements;
6. UPaaS platform building requirements were submitted;
7. The demo development process of UDFS was optimized;
8. UDFS offers multiple versions to expand the scope of services.
Peripherals
1. The development of Ulord V2.1.0 was completed:
a. The functions of UOS currency was completed, including UOS resource management, such as memory purchase, CPU mortgage, redemption, etc.
b. The wallet function was optimized for an efficient use;
c. The bug of Ulord V2.0.3 was fixed and the function was optimized to improve the system performance.
2. The information display of the UOS block browser was added, including RAM price, network computing cost, and the contract information display.
Operation Progress
1. On Jan 18, the second batch of Ulord masternode election was officially launched. It plans to recruit 39 masternodes worldwide, including 29 honorary masternodes and 10 consensus master nodes. 2. On January 19, 2019, “Consensus Light” Blockchain Summit & Chain Club 2nd Anniversary Celebration hosted by Chain Club and Ulord was held at Changsha Sylva Hotel, Changsha, Hunan, China. Blockchain experts, famous scholars, and business leaders gathered together to discuss the trend and future of blockchain in 2019.
3. On Jan 20, Ulord CMO Dr. Cyber introduced the latest progress of Ulord to the guests from Chain Club, including sidechains, masternodes, UDFS and DAPP development.
4. At 20:00 on Jan 21, Dr. Yang Zheng, Vice President of Ulord Foundation, shared the Ulord Ecosystem and Developer Community Construction Plan in Find Community. He introduced the Ulord technical architecture, current progress and support program for developers. Dr. Yang Zheng also answered questions raised by developers, including developer incentive mechanism, node rewards, and the sidechain development. He sincerely invited developers to join the Ulord ecosystem and work together for a win-win situation.
5. Recently, Ulord Foundation announced its strategic partnership with Sparking Network Technology Co., Ltd. The two parties decides to work together to expand Ulord’s influence in the blockchain industry and promote the development and application of the blockchain technology. Ulord Foundation is registered in Singapore and is the host organization of the Ulord project. It manages the technical development, application docking, promotion and other related work of the Ulord project. Sparking Network Technology Co., Ltd. is in New York, USA. It provides Ulord with a full range of value-added services such as operations promotion and marketing planning.
6. On Jan 22, Ulord Global Community Alliance released 2019 Blockchain Dictionary, edited by its member Justina. The dictionary collects the words from the blockchain technology in 2018 and the development trends in 2019.
Terminology
UPaaS (Ulord platform as a service): Ulord system provides a blockchain platform for content distribution for businesses and individuals, and is also a content service platform. UPaaS is built on the Ulord public blockchain and the Ulord Distributed File System (UDFS). UlordChain and UDFS form the content storage subsystem (UCSS) of UPaaS.
Ulord consensus masternode: it is based on the Ulord sidechain UOS, and is responsible for transaction verification, transaction bookkeeping, block packing and confirmation of the sidechain network. It has the right to vote for the modification of chain parameters and system contracts.
Ulord honorary masternode: it provides the most basic full node service, and promotes the Ulord community, such as resource docking and project promotion to expand Ulord’s influence.
